Detailed Itinerary
Arrival in Gangotri
Arrive at Gangotri (3,048m), visit Gangotri Temple and Surya Kund. Acclimatization walk in nearby pine forests. Orientation and trek preparation.
Gangotri to Bhojwasa
Trek along Bhagirathi River through dense cedar forests and Chirbasa meadows to reach Bhojwasa (3,800m). Witness stunning views of Bhagirathi peaks.
Bhojwasa to Gaumukh to Tapovan
Morning visit to Gaumukh glacier (3,900m) - the sacred source of Ganga. Steep climb through boulder terrain to Tapovan meadows (4,463m) with panoramic views of Shivling and Meru peaks.
Tapovan Exploration Day
Rest day for meditation or optional hikes to Meru Glacier base/Akash Ganga waterfall. Photograph Himalayan wildlife and majestic peaks.
Tapovan to Bhojwasa
Descend from Tapovan to Bhojwasa, retracing the route with different perspectives of the valley. Overnight at Bhojwasa campsite.
Bhojwasa to Gangotri
Final descent to Gangotri through the beautiful forests. Concluding ceremony at Gangotri Temple. Trip ends in Gangotri.
